Help Us Raise for Building Renovations…

Old Fire Station No. 19 was designated Historical Resources Site #893 by the City of San Diego Historical Resources Board in May 2009.

Historic Significance

Our building is a reflection of the racial segregation and discrimination of African American firefighters in San Diego from 1932 to 1951.

Current Situation

We are in need of renovations, repairs and updates to convert our aging building into a working museum and gathering space.
